Cindy Gao
From AAA Wiki
Cindy Gao is Class of 2012 at Columbia College majoring in History and Asian American Studies. She was born and raised in the great American city of St. Louis, Missouri, and no, your red state jokes are not funny. She is interested in the hierarchy of subjects within the Asian American community and how and why some experiences are privileged over others. She is also interested in expanding ethnic studies and discussion of racial and social formations at Columbia and elsewhere.
When not arguing for a multiplicity of subjects and trying to justify participating in the elitist institution that is academia, Cindy is on the staff at WBAR (Barnard College Radio) and has a radio show that plays coldwave, noise, black metal, and top 40 hip hop. She is currently researching the history of early Asian students at Columbia as well as writing a self-indulgent screenplay about cities in decline, slurpee, and never really being able to shake off that myth about Asian dick size.
