Ryan Fukumori

Ryan Heiroku Fukumori (CC '09) was an AAA Senior Advisor and AAAPC member. He was formerly an OCM and USCC Representative on the AAA Board.

Hailing from Berkeley, CA, Ryan also serves on the boards of the National Asian American Student Conference and the United Students of Color Council. He also performs as an amateur (in the truest sense of the word) rapper/poet under his middle name, Heiroku. He studies Comparative Ethnic Studies with a concentration in Asian American Studies, and his research primarily details internationalist tendencies and the intersections of race and class amongst activists of color in 20th-century U.S. history.

He also enjoys artistic forms that challenge inequality and injustice, red bean ice cream, and holding a superiority complex over fellow Bay Arean Patrick Chang.
