Steven Wong

Steven is currently a first-year in SEAS, majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Architecture. He comes from Vancouver, BC, where he was oot and aboot playing ice hockey in the winters and ultimate frisbee... in the winters. He also enjoys drawing.
Almost Complete Bio
Steven Wong is a first-year in the School of Engineering and Applied Science studying Civil Engineering and Architecture. Born in Beijing, he grew up in Hong Kong before moving to Vancouver, Canada. Steven is the Treasurer of AAA and hopes to use his time on the board to understand the APIA identity that is rarely discussed in the media and to foster awareness of its evermorphing form. As an immigrant himself, he hopes to explore the role immigration plays on the Asian American identity and its dual nature.
Outside of AAA, Steven is also a Columbia University tour guide and an Associate Design Editor for the Columbia Daily Spectator. He is also a member of the Community Impact Leadership Program (CILP), where he spends his time learning and being civically engaged in the Morningside Heights community.
At his alma mater, Eric Hamber Secondary, Steven was a member of the varsity ultimate frisbee team, a peer counselor, and the founder of MathAid, EHS’s after school math and science tutoring program. He also played defense in Vancouver’s minor hockey league and taught skating at a local arena. During his spare time, Steven loves to bike, draw, and engage in movie marathons.
